As the summer comes to an end, our outdoor tombolas give way to events inside, in the dry and warm!

Our first indoor event this year will be at Highworth School on Saturday 9 November when we will have our Christmas Smiley Face tombola.

Come to the Fair to find lots of great Christmas presents, and stop off at our stall for a bit of fun, and a chance to help a small, local charity!

We are pleased to share the following information from NHS Medway and Kent.

"This #BabyLossAwarenessWeek (9 to 15 October) we are thinking of all the families who have been bereaved.

After losing a baby you may feel overwhelmed, bewildered and upset and you may have questions that you want answered, or things you want to say about your care.

Did you know that Maternity and Neonatal Independent Advocates can provide you with free, independent support? The role was created with families who had also been bereaved. They offer support if you have had a stillbirth, or your baby died within the weeks after they were born.

We have more good news in time for the start of Baby Loss Awareness Week. We will soon have a new memorial location in Sittingbourne, in King George V Park – on the raised garden near the car park and play area. We hope to get the boards up in the next month or so and meanwhile families can order nametiles in readiness.

We are grateful to Swale Council and to Cllr Sarah Stephens for their support with this project.

Please share so that as many families as possible in Sittingbourne know about this exciting development. Thank you.
