A great day in the sunshine on Saturday in Ashford Town Centre, raising awareness of the Ashford Baby Memorial Garden and baby loss more generally.

Some lovely conversations with local people and lots of fun with our Smiley Face Tombola which raised £460.

Thanks to all our wonderful volunteers that gave up their time on Saturday - much appreciated.

On 23 September we'll have our tombola in Dover, before moving on to some Christmas Smiley Face Tombolas across East Kent in the autumn.

You can see our fundraising calendar here.

We are delighted to announce that Tesco Park Fam in Ashford has chosen us to be one of the charities to share the proceeds of its ongoing book sale for the coming three months.

Thank you to Jenny and Amy at Tesco for arranging this - we really appreciate your support!

If you have books you no longer want, please drop them in to Tesco - thank you.

A lovely sunny Sunday afternoon was the perfect setting for the recent formal opening of our new nametile area in Canterbury's Westgate Park.

Situated in a lovely location on the bank of the river within the Park, we now have thirteen nametiles, each one remembering a very special baby, with a further six recently ordered. We were delighted that Rev Helen Connoll, former chaplain at Canterbury Hospital and someone who supported a great many families following baby loss, agreed to perform the official 'unveiling' and lovely to see so many families coming along.

We have permission to add two further boards to the wall and will soon need to add the second one. Thanks to Canterbury City Council which has been extremely supportive, and helped to make this idea become a reality. Looking ahead we are hoping we may be able to hold a small 'Wave of Light' during Baby Loss Awareness Week in October - watch this space!

If anyone else would like to order a nametile for Canterbury, or Ashford (in the Ashford Baby Memorial Garden), or Faversham (at the West Faversham Community Centre) , here is the link to the order form.
